Lighting The Leela Ambience Shahdara in East Delhi presented a premier design challenge: balancing the grand scale of one of India's largest luxury convention properties with the warm, intimate hospitality that defines the Leela legacy. Our primary structural intervention focused on the grand multi-story ballroom, expansive pre-function exhibition galleries, and towering entry pre-pavements, where creating a sense of visual continuity was essential.
To handle these high-volume spaces, we deployed Kendo's high-output linear accent engines and precision-engineered downlights to lift the soaring ceilings and accent the intricate, gold-leaf geometric details and rich textures. In the vast transit pre-function zones, deeply recessed, low-glare COB fixtures were configured to establish high-contrast, rhythmically spaced pools of light, keeping the ceiling plane quiet while rendering the premium surfaces with exceptional color accuracy. Utilizing integrated scene control, the entire expanse transitions effortlessly from a brilliant, crisp white suitable for high-profile global corporate summits to a soft, rich amber glow that sets a regal stage for elite banquets and heritage weddings.
